Photo taken on Dec. 19, 2019 shows the residential houses with photovoltaic power panels installed on roofs in Turpan, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Since the completion of Turpan's urban micro-grid project at the end of 2013, the photovoltaic power panels installed on 293 residential roofs has an annual generating capacity of about 10 million KWH, serving more than 5,000 households.
