KUNMING, April 28 (Xinhua) -- Peng Shuai and Yang Zhaoxuan defeated their compatriots Duan Yingying/Han Xinyun 7-5, 6-2 to take the women's doubles title at the Kunming Tennis Open here on Sunday.

The second-seeded pair had not lost a single set coming into the final, while top-seeded Duan and Han battled their way to the final after winning three consecutive tiebreakers.

Peng and Yang gained an upper hand from the beginning of the match and never looked back to seal the match 7-5, 6-2.

"I feel lucky to be able to come back to the court after knee operation, " Peng said after the match.
