COX'S BAZAR, Dhaka, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- A two-day kite festival has ended at the sea beach in the Cox's Bazar, southeastern Bangladesh, some 392 km southeast of capital Dhaka.

Bangladesh Kite Federation organized the event which stared on Friday in collaboration with National Sports Council and Chinese Embassy in Dhaka, among others. Hundreds of colourful kites were flown during the festival.

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Zhang Zuo said that "the presence of kite in both China and Bangladesh has been for a very long time, loved by both our people, as it embodies our common aspiration for a better life."

As a good partner to the Chinese embassy, the Bangladesh Kite Federation organized the Kite Festival every year, he added.
