SINGAPORE, June 1 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 0.02 percent or 0.67 points to close at 3,427.51.
A total of 2.21 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.38 billion Singapore dollars (about 1.03 billion U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 212 to 195.
The STI index closed down 0.46 percent or 15.77 points to close at 3428.18 on Thursday.
