BEIJING, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended mixed in the morning session Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.07 point to end at 3,436.66.

The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 0.86 percent to end at 11,288.91.
