LOS ANGELES, May 5 (Xinhua) -- Display Week 2026, the global display industry's largest annual gathering, kicked off here Tuesday, showcasing the latest innovations in areas ranging from artificial intelligence (AI) hardware and spatial computing to next-generation displays and precision imaging.

Hosted by the Society for Information Display (SID), the Display Week drew more than 200 exhibitors and over 7,000 professionals from across the global display industry.

Chinese exhibitors, including BOE Technology Group, TCL CSOT and Visionox Technology, are participating with a range of innovative products and solutions. They are playing an increasingly prominent role at the event, presenting technologies across multiple segments, including next-generation display panels, automotive displays and emerging extended reality (XR) applications.

The exhibition highlights several key trends shaping the industry. Major areas of focus include emissive and next-generation display technologies such as OLED, MicroLED and quantum dots; XR and spatial display systems; and automotive display platforms featuring software-defined cockpits and augmented-reality head-up displays.

The event also features a series of keynote speeches and symposiums on topics such as AI-driven imaging and optimization, immersive and virtual production workflows, and display systems engineered around human perception.

For the first time, Display Week includes a dedicated AI track. The addition reflects how widely AI is being applied across the display development process, from accelerating materials discovery to improving manufacturing yield and optimizing real-time display performance, according to SID.
